Concentrations of heavy metals in the Euphrates rivers Eastern of Ramady

The present study was carried out on Euphrates rivers and tow canals of lakes AL-Tharthar and AL-Habania at eastern of AL-Ramady city in the Anbar governorate. Seven stations were selected at this study. The current study involved detect of concentration of some heavy metals and their effect on Euphrates rivers waters, during the period from November 2012 to June 2013 .The concentration of heavy metals (cadmium, iron, zinc and copper ions) were within the allowed limits the ranges of were (0.0006-0.005) (0.011-0.31), (0.005-0.13) and (0.011 – 0.19) mg/L, respectively. Lead concentrations were ranged (0.007 – 0.87) mg/L, which was slightly high compared to the allowed limits.
